Amba Haldi or Ama Haldi which is also known as White Turmeric. It is very popular because of its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticarcinogenic and antiinflammatory properties. It grows in the root of the plant. Indian cuisine is incomplete without it. It is counted among the important spices in the kitchen. The taste of Amba turmeric is more bitter. Toothache- By rubbing the teeth with the powder of Akarkarabh, Tuttha, Opium and Amrandhi Haridra, the dental pain subsides.

Stomach disease- Making a decoction of rhizome and mixing humus and black pepper in it and giving it is beneficial in stomach disease.

Prameha- Mixing sambhag sesame powder in 3 grams amrandhi Haridra and consuming it daily in the morning and following the diet gives quick benefits in Prameha.

Grinding rheumatism and humming it and tying it in the joints ends pain and inflammation.

Mixing equal parts of wheat flour, sugar and ghee in 1 gram tuber powder and taking it daily in the morning for one month provides relief in rheumatism.

Skin disease- Grinding the tuber with hot water, applying it on traumatic inflammation, eczema, ulcer (generated on mouth and penis etc.) and other skin diseases is beneficial.

Consuming dropsy-prand decoction is beneficial in dropsy.
