There are many such herbs in the world, which are considered very beneficial for the body. Atibala is also one of those herbs. It is a bushy plant, which remains green for years. Its stems are round and purple in color and the fur is very soft, supple, white and velvety. From its leaves to flowers are rich in many medicinal properties and they are used in many Ayurvedic remedies. For this reason, its powder is used as medicine in Ayurveda. Atibala is beneficial in many problems like bad breath, gum pain, smelly sweat, toothache, headache.

Atibala is a bushy plant 2 to 4 feet high. Whose root and trunk (stem) are strong. Its leaves are heart-shaped with 7-9 veins, 1 to 2 inches long and half to one and a half inches wide. The flowers are small yellow or white and have 7 to 10 pistils. Its seeds are small, granular, dark brown or black in colour. It is found throughout the year in all the provinces of the country. Atibala is also known as Khiranti or Gokshuradi Churna.

In Ayurveda, various parts of Atibala such as seeds, roots, bark, flowers, leaves, etc. are considered very beneficial for health. But due to its nutritious and curative properties, it is used as a medicine in Ayurveda for many diseases. Atibala's bark is bitter, anti-fever, anti-helminthic and anti-toxin. Apart from this, it also removes thirst, tridosha and arthritis. Its root is beneficial in uterine bleeding. The milk of this plant is beneficial in urinary diseases. In Ayurveda, Atibala has a prominent place in nutritious medicines that increase strength.

Atibala seeds are nutritious and provide relief in chest problems. It is very effective for children's cough, irritation of air drains, piles and gonorrhea. Its leaves are good for toothache, backache and piles. Its bark is beneficial in stone and urinary diseases. The cold decoction of the root of Atibala works as a cold medicine inside the fever. It is very beneficial in semen booster, forceful, bleeding disorders and urine related diseases.

Since there is no proof whether it is safe to consume Atibala during pregnancy. Therefore, during pregnancy, use it on the advice of a doctor.
