The fruit of Satyanashi is square which has thorns all over the plant. It is filled with small black colored seeds similar to mustard seeds. When they are thrown on burning coals, they make a lot of noise. In Uttar Pradesh it is also called Bhadbhad. By breaking any part of Satyanashi, yellow milk comes out, hence it is also called Swarnakshiri. But according to Ayurveda, Satyanashi is completely different from Swarnakshiri. According to Ayurveda it is known as Swarnakshiri. This plant is found at an altitude of 3900 meters from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to Uttarakhand.
