Potato is mentioned in the ancient texts of Ayurveda. This potato is different from today's famous vegetable potato. But the tuber is as special as this potato. In Sushruta Samhita, there is a description of some differences of this potato. These are the species of Varah clan from the botanical point of view. Sushruta Samhita is the difference. It is also called Raktaluk. It has a creeper. This tuber is also known as Barahi Kand. Its size is that of a boar and pigs eat it with great fervor. Its shape is like the head of a boar, and twelve hard hairs are found in it. That's why it is called Varahi Kand. Doctors see ten Varahi kand in the form of cloves. The plant of Varahi Kand is like a vine.
                   
                                                         What is Varahi Kand?

Varahi Kand's flower-the manjari of the male flower is 4-to 10 inches long. In these, the manjarias of the male flowers are inclined towards the bottom. Small yellow or white colored spots appear in these manjaris. It develops till the end of autumn. Sometimes flowers also come in the flesh of the eldest. These flowers smell more in the night
