Who does not know about Vasa. In fact, since the time of grandmothers, the use of Vasa is most commonly used as home remedies for the treatment of cold and flu. Vasa also has a special place in Ayurveda as a medicine. Vasa is also called Adusa. It is said in Ayurveda that Vasa is very useful in reducing Vata, Pitta and Kapha. What is Adulsa?
Acharya Charak has considered Vasa to be the best in the treatment of biliousness. There is no mention of Vasa in Dashamani in Charaksamhita. Vasa leaf herb is supposed to reduce Kaphapitta. Along with eye diseases, Vasa is used along with other substances in Ashmari (stone), sugar (blood glucose), leprosy, duodenal vaginal disease and gout related diseases. In Sushruta-samhita it has been calculated in Ksharakriya. Its three castes are found, which are as follows.
The plant of White Vasa Adusa is bushy. It is of white colour. Its flowers come from February to March. Its pods are 18-22 mm long, 8 mm wide, hairy and each pod contains four seeds.
Blood Vasa (Graptophyllum pictum) Its flowers are of deep red colour.
Krishna Vasa (Jenderusa vulgaris) The whole part of this plant is purple in colour. In many places it is used for adulteration in Katsarayya.
In addition to the species of Vasa mentioned above, the following species are also used in medicine. (Kshudravasa) - It is about 3-4 m high branch-branched shrub or shrub. The flowers are of white colour. In many places it is used in place of Vasa. Its leaves, roots and flowers are used for medicine. The leaves are antiemetic and hemostatic. Its plant is phlegmatic and forceful. Flowers are used in the treatment of eye diseases.
