Identity of Kamal Gatta
The lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) is the national flower of India, also known as the Indian lotus or fox nut. Kamal gota (or Kamal Gatta) are the seeds of the lotus. It is known as Makhana in Hindi, Kusukkan Naat in Malayalam and Fox Naat in Telugu.
